Anathi Nyadu was born in a small town, Sterkspruit in the the Eastern Cape. He moved to Kimberley in 2001 where he attended his schooling. After matriculation, he went on to study at University of the Free State where he did his undergraduate degree in Media Studies and Journalism. He then furthered his studies and completed his honours degree in Film and Visual Media. He is currently studying towards an MA in Human Rights with the focus of his research being Literature and Human Rights. Anathi’s writing has appeared on several publications, such as The Journalist (a student online website), a blog (The Diary of Zinzi Zwane) for Fundza, and Y-not Culture, Art State; and most recently, he just had his book, Heart of Stone published.
