Anathi Nyadu
Anathi Nyadu hails from the small town of Sterkspruit in the Eastern Cape. In 2001, he relocated to Kimberley, where he completed his schooling. Following his matriculation, Anathi pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of the Free State, majoring in Media Studies and Journalism. He continued his academic journey by obtaining an honors degree in Film and Visual Media.
Currently, Anathi is immersed in his studies for a Master’s degree in Human Rights, with a research focus on Literature and Human Rights. Alongside his academic pursuits, Anathi is an accomplished writer, with his work featured in various publications. He has contributed to platforms such as The Journalist, a student online website, and has maintained a blog titled “The Diary of Zinzi Zwane” for Fundza. Anathi’s writing has also graced publications like Y-not Culture and Art State. Most notably, he recently celebrated the publication of his book, Heart of Stone. Through his writing, Anathi explores themes that resonate deeply with human experiences and advocates for social justice and human rights.
