Cover2Cover’s Teen offerings include two engaging series. Soccer Season follows the challenges and triumphs of teen players at Sandview Soccer club, perfect for Grades 7-10. Harmony High dives into the lives of teens at a township high school, addressing relevant issues like relationships and cyber-bullying, ideal for Grades 10-12.

Soccer Season Series

This series, set in the fictional Sandview Soccer club, follows the hopes and challenges of the teen players as they rise from the D team to compete in an Open Tournament. Along the way, they will experience not only drama on the pitch but in their personal lives as well. But ultimately, they will triumph.

Both Giselle, who defies all odds to become captain of the team, and the woman coach are positive role models for girls.

This series is aimed at readers in Grades 7-10. The language level is accessible, the chapters are short, and the large font makes for ease of reading.

Harmony High Series

The Harmony High series is a collection of novels set at a fictional township high school, following the lives, loves, and challenges of a group of teens. The issues covered are relevant to teens facing challenges of family and peer pressure, relationships, cyber-bullying, teen pregnancy, and life choices. The stories validate and add value to the lives of readers who see their worlds reflected in the pages.

The books stand alone, but the characters appear across the series, much like in a soapie – this hooks readers into becoming habitual readers, as they are drawn in by characters and want to follow their lives.

The series gets reluctant teen readers hooked on reading. The chapters are short with lots of dialogue, and the language is accessible and colloquial. The books are perfect for Grade 10 - 12 readers with English as an additional language.
