Sello Mahapeletsa
Sello Mahapeletsa is a talented author known for his work on the Harmony High novel, Playing with Fire. Alongside his literary pursuits, he serves as a dedicated teacher at Sephala Primary School in Limpopo, where he imparts knowledge and inspires young minds.
Sello’s passion for writing has been a lifelong pursuit, evident in his love for crafting poems, plays, and novels. His dedication to honing his writing skills led him to study Creative Writing with Intec College, further fueling his creative aspirations.
In 2003, Sello achieved a significant milestone with the publication of his debut young adult novel, When Lions Smile, released under Kwela Books. This novel garnered acclaim and was even prescribed for Grade 10 and 11 students. Continuing his literary journey, he published his second novel, Tears of an Angel, in 2007, further establishing himself as a noteworthy voice in young adult literature.
In addition to his roles as an author and educator, Sello generously shares his passion for drama by teaching young people in his spare time, enriching their lives through the arts.
