Theresa says: “I have a dream of contributing to society and the fact that there is so much research alluding to the fact that children do not read. This has given me sleepless nights as I try to figure out on how I can make contribute to changing this norm and that is how my writing started. I have many unpublished and unfinished pieces of writings. I also thought that in order to lure children to read, one should write stories that relate to them, and they must not be only fun but must have in-built life skills and thus the birth of “Ayeye Noteksi” which is now in three languages, isiXhosa, isiZulu and English. My dream is that it be in all South African languages.
I have no doubt that any child from about age eight, and up to teenagehood will relate to it either to own life or to a life of a friend or relative.”
